In a recent interview with Collider, Tom Hardy, best known for playing Eames in "Inception" and Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises", has expressed strong interest in playing the Punisher in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Earlier this week, producer Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly that the rights for the Punisher, Ghost Rider and Blade have all returned back to Marvel from their respective studios, so seeing the Punisher on screen or in a "Daredevil" style Netflix show wouldn't be so far fetched.
In the interview with Collider, Hardy mentions that he is not "big enough to be the Punisher," stating that he is only 5'9". I don't think his height really does make a difference when casting him in the role since we all have fell in love with Hugh Jackman as a tall Wolverine, which is not comic book accurate. If we can buy Jackman as Wolverine, I'm sure we can buy Hardy as the Punisher. It's all about the performance and knowing Hardy's previous work, I'm confident he'd make a great Punisher.
What do you guys think? Would Tom Hardy make a good Punisher?
