Filming for "Captain America: Civil War" has already begun in Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia and Marvel has released the official cast and synopsis for the film.
The official synopsis of "Captain America: Civil War" reads: “Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
Chris Evans as Steve Rodgers/Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man will be joined by Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, and Elizabeth Olsen, who are all returning as their original roles from the previous MCU films (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson/Falcon, The Vision, Clint Barton/Hawkeye, James Rhodes/War Machine and Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch respectively). It has also been confirmed that Paul Rudd would return as Scott Lang/Ant-Man to meet the new Avengers right after his solo movie coming out this year.
Along with the old and new Avengers cast, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman are joining the film as supporting characters. Marvel has confirmed Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones and Hurt General Thaddeus Ross but did not specify Brühl and Freeman's roles in the film. The mystery continues...
Who do you think Brühl and Freeman will play in "Captain America: Civil War"? And what do you think of the official synopsis and cast of the film?
