Academy Award winning director Oliver Stone has made a name for himself for tackling controversial and important American issues with films like "Wall Street", "Platoon" and "JFK". And he is back with another film that takes a political jab at the United States. His latest film "Snowden" stars Joseph Gordon Levitt as the titular character who, in 2013, leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA), revealing numerous global surveillance programs to the public. The film co-stars Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Scott Eastwood, Logan Marshall-Green, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Schnetzer, LaKeith Lee Stanfield, Rhys Ifans and Nicolas Cage, and is set for a September 16, 2016 release date. Whenever Oliver Stone is back on board with a new film, I will always get excited to see it. Whether good or bad, this is one I am very much looking forward to seeing.
