Fifty Shades of Wade?
Yesterday, it was reported that "Deadpool" grossed $12.7 million on its Thursday night preview screenings, making it the highest grossing Thursday night in February history. Now, it has been reported that the merc with the mouth was able to gross $47.5 million, beating the previous record holder "Fifty Shades of Grey".
The film was originally pegged for a $55 million opening weekend but now it is projected to gross about $115 million this weekend and $130 million during the 4-day Presidents' Day weekend.
People, go see "Deadpool" if you haven't done so already! It deserves all of your money and your attention. It's an extremely enjoyable film that the insanely clever viral marketing campaign promised us.
