Upcoming Wolverine Film Confirmed To Be Rated-R

Be ready for the berserker.

Early today, "X-Men" producer Simon Kinberg has announced that Hugh Jackman's final outing as everyone's favorite mutant, Wolverine, is going to be a Rated-R film as previously rumored. Kinberg told Collider that this is going to be "a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies." While on the subject, Kinberg was asked whether or not Patrick Stewart would reprise his role as Professor X in the film to which he replied, “I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say about that.” He also added that the film "takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film."

Kinberg, with these statements, have pretty much confirmed [once more] that this the filmmakers truly are planning to adapted Mark Millar's "Old Man Logan" story arc from the 2008.
